NOTE : You must currently live in or around Houston, TX to be considered for this role. Although this is a remote position and you will not report to an office, you will be frequently visiting potential and current customers in this area.

Sterling Fabrication Technology is a CNC Machine Tool Sales Company that specializes in metal fabrication and processing equipment. We exclusively represent multiple global leading manufacturers of CNC Equipment across the Southern, Mid-Western and Western United States. Our team works with our clients to advise them on various types of machine tool purchases, how the tools can improve their processes, what equipment best meets their needs, as well as providing post-sales support.

The equipment we sell includes 2D and 3D Lasers, Press Brakes, Automatic Laser Welders, Punches, 3D Printers, Plasma Cutters, Plate Rolls, Water Jets, Metal Finishing, etc., as well as Auxiliary Equipment, Tooling, Material Storage and Power Tools.

About the Job...

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our Team and assist with growing our customer base in and around the Phoenix Area. The Outside Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding our business through working leads and building relationships with potential and current customers.

What You Will Do...

  • Work provided leads and contact potential customers via phone calls, emails and customer visits to determine their interest in our products.
  • Utilizing CRM database, plan out daily / weekly customer visits based on geographical regions of the assigned territory.
  • Visit potential customer sites to provide product information, identify decision makers, build relationships and work to find out what equipment they are interested in.
  • Work with experienced Sales Engineers to provide customer quotes, set up machine demonstrations, negotiate sales and close deals.
  • Update CRM with all customer details, conversations, visits, specific product interests, etc.
  • Keep informed of product knowledge, pricing and updates.
  • Frequent local travel and occasional nationwide travel (5% or less) will be required.

What You Bring to the Table…

  • You live in or around the Phoenix Area. Although this is a remote position, you must live in this area as it is the primary territory you will be visiting potential and current customers in.
  • Are tech savvy, have strong computer skills and experience using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
  • Have prior sales experience and have the ability to continuously build rapport with potential customers. Experience with longer sales cycles is highly preferred.
  • Have a positive, professional attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Are a highly motivated, self-starter that takes initiative and works well independently and with others.
  • Background in and / or basic knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, fabrication and / or mechanics would be very beneficial.
