Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening tools, and supplies based on their needs and preferences.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care, lawn care, and landscaping techniques.
- Maintain the appearance of the garden center by organizing products, watering plants, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions efficiently.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by managing online inventory and assisting with order fulfillment when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about new products, trends in gardening, and seasonal changes to better assist customers.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of gardening practices, plant care, and lawn maintenance is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
- Experience operating POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly work environment.
- A willingness to learn about new products and trends in the gardening industry.
