Salary: $50,000 annually commission
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Residential Leasing Intake Consultant serves as the first point of contact for prospective tenants, providing essential support in the leasing process. This individual is responsible for managing all initial inquiries—via phone and email— answering questions about the property, scheduling tours/meetings, and conducting preliminary interviews to gather information for the Residential Leasing Consultants. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring a seamless experience for prospective tenants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Communication:
• Respond promptly and professionally to all incoming inquiries (phone calls and emails) from prospective tenants.
• Provide detailed and accurate responses to questions about property features, availability, pricing, and leasing requirements.
Initial Screening:
• Conduct preliminary interviews to assess prospective tenants' needs, preferences, and qualifications to support the efforts of the Leasing Consultant.
• Maintain detailed and accurate notes from each interaction.
Scheduling and Coordination:
• Schedule property tours and appointments for prospective tenants to meet with Residential Leasing Consultants.
• Confirm appointments through follow-up calls or emails and provide directions or instructions as needed.
Record Management:
• Maintain and update records of inquiries, scheduled appointments, and outcomes using the property management system.
• Maintain efficient and organized filing system for applications.
• Generate reports on inquiry activity and appointment scheduling as needed.
Support Leasing Team:
• Collaborate with Residential Leasing Managers to ensure they have all necessary information for scheduled appointments.
• Communicate updates and provide feedback on prospective tenants' needs or concerns.
Customer Experience:
• Foster a welcoming and professional environment for prospective tenants.
• Handle any initial concerns or inquiries with a solutions-oriented approach.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or leasing-related role.
• Previous experience in property management or real estate is a plus.
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of customer service principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of the property management industry and leasing processes (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar systems).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass background check including criminal records and sex offender registry prior to offer of employment.
