As a Superintendent you will:
- Supervise construction personnel to ensure that approved project plans and specifications are followed
- Ensure compliance with the building code, adherence to established quality standards, and that only approved products, materials and subcontractors are used
- Review preliminary design and site drawing to ensure best construction practices are being utilized, and recommend any value engendering items to lower cost
- Responsible for adherence to safety programs
- Interact with municipalities, utility companies and subcontractors
- Prepare and maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems
- Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program
Reports to: Project Manager
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ hands on field experience in multifamily construction with slab on grade and wood framed construction to include major site development
- Minimum of 3 years of multi-family construction and supervision with job hard costs more than $10 million
- Minimum project size 200 units and value of $25m , podium/wrap
- Experience completing multiple projects from start to finish
- Project Management/Superintendent experience with under-ground earth work, under-ground utilities, concrete, and building construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and recognize and address work related issues as they occur
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings
- Ability to comprehend and communicate budget impacts based on decision making
- Project management software knowledge (Procore or equivalent), MS Word and Excel
- Leadership experience must include managing 2 direct reports in the field
- Regular travel ability required
