Sterling Helicopter is looking for a highly self‐motivated H135‐F2 T3 Technician to provide on‐site maintenance and operational support at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The technician will be responsible for maintaining three (3) Airbus H135‐F2 T3 Aircraft.
Required Qualifications:
· Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
· Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate
* Will consider applicant who is willing to obtain IA certification
· 5 years prior experience – H135 experience preferred
· Must live within 60 miles of KSC and be able to reliably commute
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform all scheduled/unscheduled aircraft line maintenance and functional checks and testing activities as required in accordance with manuals and instructions including, but not limited to, the following: Aircraft Maintenance Manual; Aircraft Operations Management Manual; Component Maintenance Manual; Airbus Helicopters Service Letters; Airbus Helicopters Service Bulletins; Airbus Helicopters Alert Service Bulletin; Safran engine service manuals and bulletins; Corrosion and Erosion Control Guide; FAA Federal Aviation Regulations; and all applicable NASA and Kennedy Space Center manuals.
· Maintain hangar and ground support equipment.
· Fly onboard missions piloted by AHI and/or government personnel as may be required for maintenance activities and troubleshooting.
· Place spares orders to AHI and other vendors in a timely manner in order to efficiently support maintenance on the Aircraft.
· Ensure the Aircraft are mission‐ready and perform day‐to‐day scheduled and any unscheduled emergency flight operations, diagnostic checks, unscheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure airworthiness and availability of the Aircraft.
· Support Sterling’s accounting department as needed to allow for preparation and submission of invoices.
· Perform installation, setup, and operational checks of helicopter mounted night vision equipment for missions requiring its use.
· Ensure AGE are safe and operable; perform calibration/certification of AGE in accordance with the Airbus calibration/certification plan and maintain related records; document the identification and removal of unserviceable AGE from use.
· Provide recommendations for standard and special tooling and any additional ground support equipment deemed required to ensure availability of the Aircraft for flights.
· Properly utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) pursuant to instructions provided by Sterling.
· Track and maintain PPE calibration records in NAMIS and Traxxall as required.
· Identify and request any additional tools and equipment that may be required to properly maintain the Aircraft.
· Adhere to the applicable calibration/certification plan for tools and equipment utilized for maintenance operations that perform critical operations or final measurements.
· Ensure that records of maintenance, inspection, and alterations are maintained in accordance with FAA/Repair Station standards.
· Successfully complete training programs as instructed by Sterling. Training programs may include, but are not limited to, those offered by Sterling, AHI, and NASA, and maintain related training records.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· Minimum of five years of pertinent mechanical/inspection experience
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
· FAA IA Inspection Authorization
· Appropriately certified in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65
