Responsibilities
Position Description
- Operate tank truck to transport water for construction projects.
- Insert pipes in refilled trenches and other excavations.
- Operate auxiliary pump on the truck to pump water into fill to settle and compact dirt.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any issues to the dispatcher.
- Maintain accurate logs and records.
- Safely operate the truck to pick up and/or deliver cargo, as assigned by the dispatcher.
- Report safety hazards.
- Immediately report incidents involving injury, illness, or property damage.
- Wear appropriate PPE as outlined in the Company's policy/guidelines.
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and rules.
- Refuse any unsafe task or operation.
- Participate in safety meetings and training.
- Consistently be aware of your personal safety and that of your coworkers and your surroundings.
Position Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with tanker endorsement.
- Valid DOT Medical Certificate and Medical Examiner's Report required.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs within the past five years, no more than two moving violations, and no more than one accident within the past three years.
- Two or more years of driving experience in a comparable vehicle.
- Ability to comply with federal and state regulations.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Ability to process alpha/numeric information accurately.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to think logically, follow procedures, instructions, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
