Summary:
SSW is seeking a passionate and talented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our growing Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and detail oriented.
In this role, you will inspect incoming and outgoing customer owned jewelry, collaborating closely with the Production and Intake teams to ensure efficient and accurate processing of inbound and outbound customer repairs and custom designed jewelry. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work hands-on with fine jewelry and gain valuable insight into the quality control processes of a successful and growing division within Signet Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of customer-owned jewelry to ensure compliance with company quality standards and all needed work has been completed.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and reliability in quality assurance processes.
Verify the accuracy of completed repair requests and confirm that the returned item is the original item provided by the customer for repair. Inspect and problem-solve customer returns and defective products and Identify trends and potential root causes of quality issues and proactively communicate findings to the supervisor.
Collaborate with the Quality Control team, supervisors, and production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Contribute to SSW’s industry leading accuracy and on-time shipping performance.
Assist in the training of new team members to uphold quality standards and ensure a thorough understanding of inspection procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience working in a fast-paced production setting.
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of fine jewelry manufacturing and general jewelry knowledge.
Familiarity with quality control tools and procedures, preferably within the jewelry or light manufacturing industries.
3 years in quality control inspection or manufacturing processes preferred
Ability to multi-task and accept direction, critical feedback as well as operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to solve problems independently and as a team
Results oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
GIA Diamond diploma: Graduate Gemologist diploma preferred

The hourly range for this opportunity is $22.00 - $25.00. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
