Sterling Office Professionals has teamed up with our client in the Greater Pittsburg area in search of an Insurance Claims Representative to add to their team.
Job Details:
Daylight Shift 8:30 – 4 Monday – Friday
Pay 22.50 an hour BOE.
With appropriate supervision, timely, accurately and efficiently reviews claim coverage and liability issues, and investigates and resolves less complex, more routine claims; maintains good customer relations; maintains good working relations with co-workers and other company personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs the routine investigation and resolution of less complex, more routine claims
- Reviews, approves, codes and obtains proper approvals for the payment of all losses and expenses;
- Prepares and files all required forms within statutory time limits;
- Evaluates claim reserves, including perioically evaluating the claim to ensure that the respective reserve properly reflects the potential exposure;
- Provides documentation of investigation and claims handling activities;
- Develops, maintains and enhances good customer relations;
- Provides direction to and management of independent adjusters and any other third parties retained to assist in a particular claim;
Education and Experience:
- Four-year college degree or appropriate job experience;
- Do not need experience if they have the degree highly trainable position.
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to think/analyze;
- Comfortable visiting/meeting with insureds, as necessary, with supervision.
