Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescriptions and preferences.
- Perform precise measurements for eyewear fittings and adjustments.
- Provide guidance on lens options, frames, and optical products.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage and maintain inventory of eyewear and optical supplies.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in optical products and technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or degree in Opticianry is preferred.
- Proven experience as an optician or in a similar role within the optical industry.
- Strong understanding of optical prescriptions, lens types, and frame fitting techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments.
- Proficiency in using optical equipment and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
