Responsibilities
- Work under the general supervision of the General Counsel
- Perform legal research and draft legal opinions in support of the General Counsel
- Assist with insurance claims and provide other support to insurance producers
- Assist, interpret, and advise on vendor contracts, leases, construction agreements, and other documents
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and ability to negotiate contracts
- Draft transaction and other corporate documents
- Identify legal and compliance issues and business risks and escalate appropriately
- Handle fast paced and high-volume workload
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to provide the company with clear and precise guidance on business, compliance, and legal risks
- Collaborate with others and build knowledge of business and key stakeholders
- Proactively develop and maintain legal knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up to date on current regulations, cases, trends and best practices
- Various administrative duties in support of the General Counsel
