The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse processes, from receiving and storing goods to order fulfillment and shipping. The role requires effective coordination between inventory management, team members, and other departments to maintain operational excellence and achieve performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts.
- Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent damage.
Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Utilize warehouse management software (WMS) to track inventory and process orders.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements to warehouse processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement best practices to reduce errors and improve workflow.
- Troubleshoot issues and find solutions to operational challenges.
Team Coordination:
- Supervise and guide warehouse staff to ensure proper work execution.
- Train new team members on warehouse processes and safety protocols.
- Ensure staff follows warehouse safety procedures and maintains a clean work environment.
Customer Service:
- Work with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Handle special requests, product issues, or shipping delays in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy products (depending on the job requirements).
- Forklift certification is preferred, but not required.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
