Position Summary
The Pricing and Yield Management Specialist plays a crucial role in maximizing revenue and profitability through the development and ongoing maintenance of pricing process. Working closely with Sales, Operations and Finance teams, monitors supply and demand, market trends and remains knowledgeable of the competitive landscape to adjust pricing strategies.
Salaried: Full-time annual salary $75,000 - $95,000 dependent upon experience, and qualifications.
Travel Requirements
Overnight travel is required but less than 10% of the time.

Essential Functions
- Become the subject matter expert of Company products and services offered in the industry to develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue, drive profitability, and improve client retention.
- Builds dynamic pricing models and processes based on demand, location, and fleet availability, sets base prices and establishes discount and/or incentives programs.
- Analyze CPQ (configure, price, quote) tool opportunities integrated with CRM as the ideal solutions for automating pricing to streamline pricing, ensure consistency, and improve sales efficiency.
- Establish pricing governance and approval workflows within the revenue operations framework.
- Develop documentation and training materials to standardize pricing strategies across the sales organization.
- Remains current on industry, and market trends and keeps management informed of competitive pressures.
- Reviews and analyzes yield for existing clients, identifies and recommends various tactics to improve profitability.
- Help to identify opportunities for growth and expansion in existing and new target markets.
- Monitors the supply and demand of Company products and within the market to balance pricing strategies.
- Understands contract negotiations and bids, proposal development, and impact of pricing on profit margins.
- Collaborate with other department managers to develop programs that will maximize profitability for business and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge of production schedules, inventory levels and provides guidance to management on supply and demand fluctuations and expected needs or changes and effect on pricing strategies.
- Participates in trade shows, customer sales visits and other events to establish customer rapport and gain valuable insights into the competitiveness of pricing strategies compared with others.
- Evaluate and leverage technology and systems to gain efficiencies in pricing and yield management strategies.
- Develop standard operating procedures, and policies, and develop work instructions and checklists.
- Educate leadership, sales, operations and finance teams on standard operating procedures and pricing strategies.
- Prepare and develop performance reports, KPI's and other metrics as required or requested.
- Timely responds to all inquiries from employees, managers, and external agencies.
- Consistently demonstrate commitment and support for the Sterling vision, mission, policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, customer-centricity, and compliance.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to support departmental needs and overall business goals.
- Cross train within the team, and across other departments, to provide backup support throughout the department.
- All other duties and projects assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business or other relevant formal education is preferred.
- At least 5 years of previous experience in a pricing or yield management role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products including complex formulas with Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail, while working within tight timelines and under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to deliver high quantity work that is consistently accurate and timely.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and able to collaborate with team members.
