Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) looking to make an impact in community healthcare? We are seeking a passionate and skilled NP to join our Clinical Health Services (CHS) Mobile Health Clinic & Smart Pod project. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care, working alongside a supportive clinical team to serve the community.
What You’ll Do
✔️ Deliver direct patient care in compliance with Texas Medical Board and Harris County Public Health (HCPH) guidelines
✔️ Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and order lab tests & immunizations
✔️ Prescribe and monitor medications per regulatory guidelines
✔️ Provide patient referrals to specialists or external healthcare providers as needed
✔️ Mentor and support clinical staff while ensuring adherence to policies and best practices
✔️ Participate in clinical provider meetings and assist in training new team members
✔️ Other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
✔️ Master’s degree as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner - APRN or Physician Assistant - PA)
✔️ Active Texas license as an APRN or PA
✔️ BCLS Certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
✔️ Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinical setting
✔️ Valid Texas Driver’s License
✔️ Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
✔️ Preferred: ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
✔️ Preferred: Experience in family planning medical clinics
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
✔️ Work in a clinical, community, and mobile healthcare setting
✔️ Utilize Epic/Immtrac2, Signature Pad software, BIG IP, and Badge Access
✔️ Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Location: Pasadena Pod & Northeast
Assignment Length: 6 months to 1 year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60/hour
