Local corporation has a need for an entry level Purchase Order Clerk to join their organization. The applicant should be familiar with administrative practices. Accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required. This applicant must have the ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Daily processing of vendor receiving tickets
· Perform 3-way match purchase order verification in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy
· Review invoices for correct sales and use taxes.
· Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
· Research and resolve issues/concerns from vendors and internal parties
· Reconcile vendor accounts with monthly statements, researching discrepancies and validating account balances.
· Perform other related accounting and clerical duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
· High School Diploma is required. An Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is a plus.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Outlook
· High-level attention to detail
· Strong communication skills, written and verbal
· Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize in deadline-driven environment
