Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic LPN to join our healthcare team in Bismarck, ND, 58501 for a 13 week contract. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities and acute care environments. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patient needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Assist with daily living activities for patients, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
- Perform venipuncture and other clinical procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and infection control practices.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Provide support in pediatrics, internal medicine, and acute pain management as needed.
- Uphold infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred.
- Proficient in infection control practices.
- Familiarity with pediatric care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Ability to perform tasks such as medication administration and venipuncture competently.
