Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate ER RN to provide critical care to patients in an emergency setting. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in high-pressure situations, provide rapid assessment and treatment, and deliver compassionate care to patients with diverse medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies. You will work closely with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective treatment for patients in need.
Duties
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in the emergency department, ensuring rapid intervention for patients with life-threatening conditions.
- Provide direct care to patients, including administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans, medical conditions, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with emergency care protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.
- Respond to life-threatening emergencies quickly and effectively, applying advanced clinical judgment and skills.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Meditech.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an ER RN or in an acute care setting (preferred).
- Experience in trauma care, critical care, or urgent care is highly preferred.
- Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments with a calm and focused approach.
Requirements
- Active RN license (preferably in WY or compact state).
- Must have ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP & TNCC certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly and think critically in emergency situations.
