Pay Rate: $66 - $90 per hour Depends on location

Sterling Therapy Solutions is on the hunt for compassionate, experienced, and talented Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) to join our team at multiple correctional facilities across California. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a LCSW/LMFT working in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) system, you'll play a pivotal role in mental health services for incarcerated individuals. Your mission—should you choose to accept it—is to provide exceptional care and support in challenging circumstances, all while maintaining your professionalism, composure, and of course, your sense of humor!
Some of your essential duties will include:

• Crisis intervention and mental health evaluations (because sometimes people really need someone to talk to).
• Assessing, diagnosing, and managing psychiatric disorders for patient-inmates (we promise, no two days will ever be the same).
• Suicide risk evaluations (it’s serious business, but you’ve got this).
• Leading group therapy sessions and conducting individual therapy with at-risk individuals, all while keeping the atmosphere calm and supportive.
• Developing treatment plans based on comprehensive mental health assessments and working closely with an interdisciplinary team.
• Documenting all interactions (you’ll be a paperwork pro before you know it!) and providing regular reports for progress reviews and case management.
• Managing complex cases and providing consultation on mental health issues to colleagues and other departments.
• Assisting with pre-release functions to ensure inmates are transitioning back to the community with the mental health support they need.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Experience: At least 12 months of continuous experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institution providing similar services (internships don’t count, but if you’ve got experience, we want it!).
• Strong Communication Skills: Being proficient in English and able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form is a must.
• Ability to thrive under pressure: You’ll be working in an environment that’s anything but predictable, and we need someone who can handle the intensity and keep their cool.
• Compassion and patience: You’ve got to have a heart for helping people, no matter what their background is. You’re the person they can count on when things get tough.
