Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our healthcare team in Fort Defiance, AZ. This is a full-time, day shift (8 hours) position offering competitive hourly pay. As an OR RN, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment, and collaborating closely with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op support.
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing and arranging instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition during procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other departments to optimize patient care.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Arizona or compact state).
- Minimum of 1 year recent OR experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
