Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their recovery process. Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status, providing timely interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct physical examinations and document findings accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist in the management of patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring a safe environment.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with colleagues and documenting patient care.
- Perform routine sonography procedures as required for patient assessment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to infection control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Min 3 years of Previous PCU Experience.
- Accepting only PCU/Stepdown nurses with tele experience.
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus.
- Proven experience administering injections safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to nursing practice.
- Ability to ventilate patients as needed during emergencies or critical situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
