Pay Rate: $65/hr on W2
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract in a PCU Unit in Kearney, NE 68847 . This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential patient care in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities
✔ RNs in PCU monitor patients who have been recently discharged from the ICU or who require closer observation than can be provided in a general medical unit.
✔ Many patients in PCU require continuous ECG or cardiac monitoring to detect any arrhythmias or other heart conditions.
✔Particularly in stroke patients or those with neurological concerns, you'll perform frequent neurological checks (e.g., Glasgow Coma Scale).
✔ Provide medications (e.g., pain management, anti-arrhythmic medications, or vasopressors) as prescribed. You may also be involved in titrating IV drips.
✔ Care for patients post-surgery or those with complicated wounds or pressure ulcers, ensuring proper healing.
Qualifications Required:
✅ Active and unrestricted NE RN License.
✅ Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (PCU experience preferred).
✅ Current BLS certification.
