About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract in a ICU Unit in Lufkin, TX, 75904. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential patient care in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities
✔ CVICU nurses monitor patients' heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other critical metrics to detect any signs of complications.
✔ CVICU nurses care for patients immediately following heart surgery or a procedure, making sure they are recovering well from anesthesia, and managing any issues like bleeding, infection, or organ failure.
✔They are skilled in using mechanical ventilation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and other life-sustaining equipment.
✔CVICU nurses often serve as a critical point of contact for family members, explaining the patient's condition and treatment plan, and providing emotional support.
✔ Many premature or ill babies are unable to feed orally, so NICU nurses assist with feeding through nasogastric (NG) tubes or intravenous lines.
Qualifications Required:
✅ Active and unrestricted TX RN License.
✅ Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (CVICU experience preferred).
✅ Current BLS certification.
