Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN ER to join our team in Williston, ND, 58801 for a 13 Week contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing medical emergencies.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival in the emergency department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
- Provide catheter care and assist with IV insertion as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in critical care transport for patients requiring transfer to higher levels of care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in an ICU or emergency room setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in acute pain management techniques and medical-surgical nursing practices.
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center protocols is a plus.
- Strong skills in monitoring vital signs and performing critical assessments.
- Ability to provide durable medical equipment (DME) education to patients as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in emergency nursing.
