Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN ER in Gilbert, AZ, 85297 for a 13 week contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in critical situations. Your expertise in triage and emergency protocols will be essential in providing high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival in the emergency room.
- Perform triage to prioritize patient treatment based on the severity of their conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with standards.
- Assist with procedures such as catheterization, spinal taps, and Botulinum toxin treatments as needed.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities and provide tailored care strategies.
- Engage in family planning discussions when appropriate, ensuring comprehensive patient support.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Previous experience in an emergency room or critical care setting preferred.
- Familiarity with home care practices is a plus.
- Experience working with pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Background in travel nursing is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of emergency nursing standards and protocols.
