Looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Endoscopy Unit for a 13-week assignment starting 04/21/2025. Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Information:
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Shift Times: Varied start times between 06:00 - 10:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- On-Call Requirements: 1 weekday call, 1 weekend call, and a minimum of 1 worked weekend.
- Weekend Shift Coverage: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts).
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes.
Qualifications & Certifications Required:
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- License: Active RN license.
- Additional Experience: Conscious sedation experience is a must. Endoscopy background is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for endoscopy patients.
- Administer moderate sedation, requiring prior experience.
- Assist with infusion therapies such as IV starts, PICC lines, and blood transfusions.
- Float to infusion center as needed and assist with basic infusions (antibiotics, blood, hydration, etc.).
- Perform tasks such as admitting, recovering, and discharging patients in the Endoscopy Unit.
- Handle common endoscopy procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and related interventions like PEG, banding, polypectomies, and foreign body removal.
- Work within Cerner EMR and Surginet for charting.
