Job Posting: House Supervisor - Nursing (Contract Position)
Location: Bozeman, MT
Job Type: Contract (13-week assignment)
Shift: Weekends and holidays required. 12-hour shifts with most being night shift from 1900-0730, but some variable- based on needs of the department. Any day of the week is possible
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure.
- ACLS
- PALS
- BLS
- A minimum of Experience in Acute care with varied exposure.
- Two (2) hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually.
- Six (6) hours of stroke training annually, NIHSS certification counts for three (3) hours.
- Preferred: Previous supervisory/management experience.
- Preferred: Critical care or emergency department experience.
- Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care across the hospital and outpatient areas, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Serve as the liaison for staff, patients, families, providers, and governing bodies.
- Expedite patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, guiding physician understanding of admission criteria.
- Facilitate emergency surgery and hospital organ donation protocols.
- Monitor nursing units, ensuring adequate staffing and alignment with unit standards.
- Act as a liaison between the physician and the patient care team.
- Manage escalated concerns from department staff, patients, and families.
- Implement hospital policies and procedures, ensuring staff adherence.
- Lead and support staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
