Pay Rate: $66/hr on W2
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract in a ICU Unit in Council Bluffs, IA, 51503. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential patient care in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities
✔ RNs closely monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation levels. They use advanced equipment like telemetry, arterial lines, and cardiac monitors.
✔ Assessing the patient's neurological status, including consciousness levels and reflexes, especially for patients who may have sustained brain injuries or neurological conditions.
✔Administering IV medications, fluids, electrolytes, and nutrition. Managing central venous lines, arterial lines, and other invasive devices.
✔ Administering high-risk medications, such as sedatives, vasopressors, anticoagulants, and pain management drugs, according to the physician’s orders.
✔ Managing mechanical ventilation for patients with respiratory failure. Adjusting settings and ensuring the patient is receiving adequate oxygen.
Qualifications Required:
✅ Active and unrestricted IA RN License.
✅ Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (ICU experience preferred).
✅ Current BLS certification.
