We are hiring an experienced and dependable Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Prescott, Arizona. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys providing well-rounded patient care in a collaborative hospital setting while using the Cerner electronic medical records system.
Position Overview
The Med Surg RN will care for patients with a wide range of medical and post-operative conditions. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident in their clinical judgment and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Develop and update individualized care plans in coordination with the care team
- Document all care accurately using the Cerner EMR system
- Provide support and education to patients and families throughout their stay
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona
- Minimum of one year of recent Med Surg nursing experience
- Proficiency in using Cerner EMR system preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and critical thinking skills
