Shift Schedule: 12-hour Night shifts

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: $62/hr on W2

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Med Surg to join our healthcare team in Redding, CA, 96001 for a 13 week contract. Join our dedicated MedSurg Oncology team on a 17-bed unit. This role is ideal for a seasoned RN who is confident caring for oncology patients but will not be responsible for administering chemotherapy. Our unit combines a strong team environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Key Information:

• Patient Ratio: 1:5 (may be 1:4 if caring for a patient receiving chemo)
• Certifications Required: BLS
• EMR: Cerner
• Support:
• Clinical Supervisor (non-assigned, supports breaks)
• One nurse aide (8-hour day coverage)
• Monitor tech available, but RNs must interpret telemetry and pass dysrhythmia exam
• Vents: Not utilized on this unit
• Hospitalist Coverage: 24/7 in-house
• RT & Pharmacy: Available 24/7
• IV Team: Not available
• Scrub Color: Navy

Additional Details:

• Floating: May float to Tele (1:4 ratio) or other MedSurg units
• Orientation: 1 shift unit-specific orientation
• Common Diagnoses: Primarily oncology with some MedSurg overflow
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday Requirement: Will be considered but not guaranteed; holiday work is integrated with permanent staff rotation

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in MedSurg/Oncology specialty
• Travel Experience: Required
• Attributes: Must be a team player with strong clinical and interpersonal skills

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
