Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric
Location: Fort Defiance, AZ
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $65 - $70 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric to join our healthcare team in Fort Defiance, AZ. This 13-week contract offers a rewarding opportunity to provide exceptional mental health care in a supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ mental and physical health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques when necessary.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state).
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certifications preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.
