Job Summary
As the Sterile Processing Tech Supervisor, you will oversee the sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies. You will ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the sterile processing department.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, hospital policies, and industry standards.
- Oversee the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate sterile processing staff.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
- Collaborate with surgical and other hospital departments to ensure timely delivery of instruments.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile processing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and regulatory standards (e.g., AAMI, CDC).
Requirements
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD).
- BLS certification preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
