Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use in patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency in the sterile processing department.

Job Type: Contract (13-week assignment)
Job Shift:
- 4-10 hour shifts per week.
- Rotating call required.
Required Qualifications:
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
- CRCST or CBSPD required.
- 2 years of Sterile Processing experience required, with advanced case experience.
- Ability to work independently in high-level, complex cases with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist during Procedures: Support physicians and nursing staff with equipment operation and patient care during endoscopic procedures (e.g., biopsies, polypectomy, ERCP).
- Endoscopic Equipment: Operate, troubleshoot, and disinfect endoscopic equipment, ensuring it is properly cleaned and ready for use.
- Room Setup: Set up the procedure room with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Patient Care: Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and dressing. Apply EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximeters as needed.
- Stock Supplies: Ensure rooms are adequately stocked with required supplies and equipment.
- Rotating Call: Participate in a rotating call schedule to provide coverage during off-hours.
