About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week contract in Los Angeles, CA. This role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers.
✔ Monitor fetal heart rates, contractions, and maternal vital signs.
✔ Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
✔ Administer medications, epidurals, and IV fluids as needed.
✔ Respond to obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation situations.
✔ Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams.
✔ Educate new parents on postpartum care and newborn health.
Qualifications Required:
✅ Active and unrestricted California RN license.
✅ Minimum of 1-2 years of L&D nursing experience.
✅ Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (STABLE preferred).
Preferred:
✔ Experience in high-risk labor and neonatal resuscitation.
✔ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
✔ Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and patient education skills.
