What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Sterling Transportation Services?
General Summary:
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for a variety of accounting/clerical tasks related to the transportation and repair industry for our customers and vendors. Payroll experience is a plus!
Essential Job Functions can include:
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll
- Maintain a periodic record of incoming and outgoing fixed assets Gather the information necessary to complete and pay appropriate taxes
- A/R collections
- Other related duties as may be assigned*
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of general accounting functions including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Payroll. Sage experience is a plus.
· Excellent history of attendance and punctuality
· Knowledge and skills to operate computer efficiently.
· Proficient in 10-key adding machine
· Accounting Specialist will spent 100% of working time an office setting.
