Job description

Imagine working with a team delivering state of the art care to patients in Lane County with blinding eye diseases. We are seeking a motivated and energetic candidate willing to be cross trained in our medical clinic. The position would be full time.

As a Clinical Assistant, you will be doing everything from working with medical equipment, assisting the doctor with medical procedures, working in reception and other areas of the practice. The successful applicant would first learn clinical assisting skills and after those skills are sufficiently developed, they could move into other departments of our practice if desired.

You will be trained on the job to assist with getting patients ready to see the doctor and helping with procedures done in the clinic. Duties include check-in, starts, organizing information and materials for the doctor, coordinating care, helping patients understand their disease and care, surgery scheduling, assisting with in-office procedures such as injections and lasers, and retinal imaging and scribing.

Minimum job requirements:
1. High school diploma.
2. Proficiency in touch typing and use of Microsoft Office products (50 wpm)
3. Available for full time employment.

We have clinics in Eugene, Thurston and Junction City. Employees may have a primary location and typically work in all locations as needed.

Expectations of candidate: Candidates must be affable, motivated, and possess integrity. Self-motivation and task completion are essential for interested candidates. You must enjoy working with others and elderly patients.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
