Position Summary:
This position involves day-to-day responsibilities that require independent judgment and discretion, contributing to the department’s ongoing success. The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for the servicing of any accounts within the department, taking the lead on all assigned accounts and is required to market accounts, prepare proposals and service accounts. The AE will both work with management and independently, and potentially with an Assistant Account Executive and/or an Account Support staffer. An Account Executive is also additionally responsible for the general support of the general office functions.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

- Primary surety contact, acting as a liaison between clients and broker
- Respond to client & surety requests for information, documents and general inquiries
- Communicate (written and verbal) with clients and insurance companies
- Respond to underwriter questions in a timely manner
- Initiate, analyze and prepare exposures and deficiencies
- Respond to client and insurance company inquiries
- Review and Process various documents including bonds/policies, endorsements and invoices
- Monitor account receivables, renewals, expirations and manage timeliness of invoicing and bond issuance
- Discuss billing inquiries
- Assist in the answering of incoming phone calls, as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be self-confident, detail oriented, well organized, self-starter and a very good communicator (strong written and verbal skills) with ability to work both independently and as part of team.
- Able to prioritize and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment, processing transactions in a timely, accurate manner
- Computer literate with experience and working knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook.
- Experience with Applied Epic or Applied TAM is a plus, but not a requirement.
Education and Work Experience:
- 3 years of Surety Account Management or Support
- Demonstrated experience of active interaction with surety company underwriters
- New York State Notary certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- P&C Broker License or willingness to obtain within 6 months

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 – $125,000 annually, plus benefits, and can vary based on location.
