The Ticket Operations Manager is a key figure responsible for :

Position Description

The Ticket Operations Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of the Festival's ticketing, access, and credentialing systems. This role involves setting up events on the ticketing platform, inputting accurate concert information, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth operations and communication.

Weekly, the Ticket Operations Manager will monitor the ticketing system, handle patron inquiries, and prepare attendee reports for each concert. On concert Sundays, they will coordinate with Safety Managers to ensure efficient patron processing, oversee staff training, and provide real-time updates on attendance and ticketing issues.

Key Duties Include :

  • Managing the Ticket system and ensuring concert details are accurately published.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team for accurate promotional content.
  • Operating ticket releases and addressing patron questions promptly.
  • Monitoring ticket availability and communicating updates regarding sold-out events.
  • Participating in weekly meetings to share ticketing progress and preparations.
  • Testing equipment on concert days and overseeing scan station setups.
  • Training and supporting operational staff conducting ticket check-ins.
  • Responding quickly to ticketing issues and providing effective solutions.
  • Documenting post-concert ticket metrics for ongoing improvement.
  • Upholding SGFA’s standards and policies in all staff interactions.
  • Experience and Skills Required :

  • 3-5 years of ticketing or box office experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ticketing systems and box office best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
  • Proven customer service skills and conflict resolution capability.
  • Able to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Maintain composure and seek supervisory support when needed.
  • A good sense of humor and a commitment to SGFA's mission.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing to stand for extended periods and traverse various terrains.
  • Capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting barricades and signage.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills for interacting with large crowds.

    Work Environment / Physical Demands :

    While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, handle various objects, and communicate with staff and patrons. The noise level may occasionally exceed 100 dB, and all efforts will be made to protect hearing.

  • Sigmund Stern Grove, 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco
  • Work from Home : Video conferences as needed
  • Availability and Commitment :

    We seek a mutually beneficial commitment from employees considering time requirements and work duties.

    Work Schedule :

  • Availability is required every Sunday from May 18, 2025 - August 17, 2025 (excluding Memorial Day Weekend).
  • Must also be available Saturdays in June and August 16th.
  • Up to 16 hours in March and up to 24 hours weekly via advance and on-site work from April to August.
  • Hybrid working style with 50% in-office collaboration as mutually agreed upon. Specific working arrangements and compensation details will be finalized in the offer letter.

    Compensation :

    Starting at $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
