A small busy law firm specializing in personal injury cases is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Personal Injury Paralegal that can handle all aspects of a bodily injury case - from inception through post note of issue. Must be detail oriented, organized, able to work independently, comply with reasonable deadlines. Must be able to draft pleadings independently. Must have a minimum of 3 years of RELEVANT PERSONAL INJURY PARALEGAL EXPERIENCE - SPANISH SPEAKING
Responsibilities
- Conduct client intakes
- Organize and maintain case files
- Communicate with clients, No-Fault adjusters, medical offices and adverse party’s law offices
- Address client and / or claim inquiries and concerns
- Input and maintain information into case management system
- Provide administrative support such as answering phones and scheduling appointments and ordering office supplies
- Medicare and Medicaid final reporting,
- Requesting all Pre-litigation documents : police reports, medical records, and bills, insurance information,
- Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines and court appearances
- Drafting form motor vehicle litigation summons and complaints, Bill of Particulars, discovery demands, responses and subpoenas
- File RJI’s, Prepare PC Orders and organize depositions with adverse party law offices
- Assist in the preparation for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials;
- Prepare and file Retainer and Closing Statements
- Assist attorney in preparing materials for trial.
- File documents electronically via NYSCEF
- Diary deadline dates, appearances, dates, etc.
