What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician (Small Animal) position at Sterner Veterinary Clinic?
Sterner Veterinary Clinic has provided the highest level of care for small animals in our West Michigan community for over 80 years. Our new state of the art, 6,000 sq. ft. facility includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house diagnostic lab, full pharmacy, as well as a spacious surgery suite, and we are seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician to join our caring small animal team.
This position's responsibilities include but not limited to providing general nursing care, examining animals and checking vitals, taking X-rays, administering medication and treatments, obtaining samples for testing, filling prescriptions, monitoring animals under anesthesia, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and other duties as assigned. Our goal is to provide you with resources you need to be successful, and we are pleased to provide professional mentorship along with paid continuing education.
