Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

We are searching for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our team in the Memphis, TN area for immediate employment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with previous experience in the manufacturing industry.

Scope: Ensures the Shipping Department runs seamlessly and all Tasks are properly executed;
Supervise all order Pickers and Material Handlers. Responsible for Raw Material Inventory
and requisitions to ensure NO Stockouts and NO Back Orders.

Essential Functions:
1. Supervise the Picking of Orders; ensure that all orders are picked accurately and promptly.
2. Ensure that your reports can quickly and accurately compare the similarities and
differences between SKUs to ensure the pick accuracy of each order.
3. Visually inspect products, and Shipments, to ensure a quality product is being shipped and no
defects are allowed to enter commerce.
4. Review all related paperwork (ASNs/Pick Sheets) to ensure no errors or defects exist.
5. Ensure that all Special Instructions are followed on all related paperwork.
6. Maintain and Organize the Shipping Department
7. Responsible for all Raw Material Requisitioning and Receipts for the plant.
8. Supervise the Movement of Materials within the Plant.
9. Responsible for Inventory and Requisitioning of Production Supplies
10. Assist in Maintaining all Audit Requirements and ensuring all Shipping/Materials are compliant with SOX.
11. Assist with Cycle Counts (A, B, & C's)
12. Supervise the upkeep of Mechanized Equipment, and communicate any Maintenance issues and/or
concerns.
13. During the Absence of the Plant Manager, will be called upon to Supervise Plant Operations to meet
production requirements in a Timely and Cost-Effective manner
14. All Other Duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Sense of urgency; sets, meets, and beats assigned deadlines and goals.
2. Ability to multi-task at a high level
3. Proactive & Responsive: able to prioritize and can think ahead and plan all short/long term
actions
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office
5. Energetic and Positive Team Player who encourages others and takes Pride in the Company
6. Must have good communication skills (both written & oral)
7. Bi-lingual, preferred but not required
8. Education: High School Diploma or GED Required
 Some College preferred, but not required
9. Experience: 5 Years as a Supervisor in a related field required
10. Must be able to work weekends and overtime

Salary : $54,000 - $56,000
