Assistant Director of Annual Fund and Special Events AS6508 The Assistant Director of Annual Fund and Special Events oversees the day-to-day operations of The Hatter Athletic Fund, focusing on donor services, stewardship, and strategic communication as it relates to the annual fund campaign. In addition, this position will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all donor hospitality and fundraising events for Stetson University Athletics development team. The Assistant Director will plan and execute all Stetson University Athletics donor events, game day hospitality, and special events. For athletic events without donor hospitality, this position may assist with game day operations. In addition, this position will have a dotted line to the University Development and Alumni Engagement Office to provide and adhere to the policies and procedures of gift processing, database management, written gift agreements, platform input / export, and stewardship.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Employment duties include, but are not limited to : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hatter Athletic FundWork in coordination with Stetson’s Annual Giving Director for Athletic and University Giving Days as well as mass solicitations, marketing, and giving platformsWork in coordination with Stetson’s Executive Director of Advancement Services for gift processing, database management, mailing / contact lists, gift agreements, fundraising event paymentsLiaison to University Major Gift staff on Athletic Director’s and coaches’ funding needsOversee stewardship planning for Annual Fund (Major Gifts & Planned Giving)Manage all donor and special events to include planning, invitations, staffing, and implementationManage portfolio of donors and prospects and identify, solicit, and cultivate benefactors for annual gifts for athleticsCreate and manage confidential reports, lists, and documents for donors, volunteers, and staffCollaborate with staff members to develop and execute programs in support of initiativesRepresent Hatter Athletic Fund at eventsManage time and execution of all communications and coordinate donor lists, invitations, and other communicationCreate and coordinate releases with athletic and university alumni, development and marketing officesWork in coordination with Development Marketing to design and distribute annual Hatter Athletic Fund guide to all donorsProvide input into the budgeting process and manages fund allocationDevelop new sources for fundraising and revenuePrepare and execute written communications and strategically planned communicationWork with Associate Athletic Director for External Operations in managing activities, services, and membership benefitsRepresent athletics with University Advancement in planning events, solicitations, and annual plansAssist with game day operations, when neededRequired Skills Outstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong critical and creative thinking abilitiesFirm working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and ability to use in varied situationsMust be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekendsWillingness and ability to engage in overnight travel and work weekendsExperience with Microsoft OfficeCollege athletic annual fund experienceKnowledge of NCAA rules and complianceExperience with Raiser’s Edge / BlackbaudRequired Experience Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulationsRelated experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, special events, game operations or business developmentMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.#J-18808-Ljbffr
