The Assistant Director of Graduate Business Programs requires a combination of business development, relationship management, operations, and administration and logistics skills. This position is responsible for providing student services and operational support for its on-campus and online graduate business programs. This position will focus on the non-academic side of graduate business programs and will include the coordination and implementation of resources, services, and tools for our graduate business students and faculty.
The role requires a mature, confident, enthusiastic, and creative candidate who creates a welcoming environment and assists students, faculty, staff, and others. The candidate must be self-motivated and reliable, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and present themselves professionally. Additionally, the role requires relationship management and project management. A successful team member will be a positive, dynamic, self-starter who is flexible and able to adapt to program and student needs in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Employment duties include, but are not limited to :
- Serve as the primary contact person for students in graduate business programs
- Ensure that the needs of graduate business students are addressed, directing them as needed to the appropriate department or resources
- Collaborate with graduate business program staff and Admissions on the development of in-house marketing strategies to highlight program and student developments and deliver information using printed materials and social media channels
- Maintain communication and positive relations with prospective, current, and past students
- Organize and execute program events as deemed appropriate
- Engage in professional development and networking related to graduate business programs
- Promote program-specific questions to prospective students and address program-specific questions
- Onboard newly admitted students and guide them through the enrollment and orientation process
- Complete individualized course plans of study for graduate business students
- Prepare program- or student-related documents and help maintain records of enrolled students
- Assist director with confirming graduation candidates have met the requirements for graduation
- Maintain the Canvas Organizations and orientations for graduate business programs
- Communicate with enrolled students, distribute information and materials, and serve as a program liaison for program / faculty / university information
- Proactively manage and deliver the inclusive services embedded in program tuition structure within budget and in a timely manner
- Effectively handle confidential, sensitive materials or information
- Maintain and organize an inventory of supplies and / or equipment
- Supervise graduate assistants
- Participate in and assist with School of Business Administration and graduate business events to increase and promote brand and program awareness to attendees
- Support the University’s Mission and Values in their role
- Perform other site- and position-specific functions as assigned

Work Environment : Routinely works during the normal scheduled hours of operation for university offices with occasional event support needed after hours or on weekends. Requires work in an office environment and movement between offices and campus buildings.
