What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs EX9850 position at Stetson University?
The Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs is responsible for providing leadership of athletics revenue generation, marketing, communications, promotions, game day experience, athletics ticket sales, corporate partnerships, licensing, and branding. The Associate AD reports to the Director of Athletics and serves as a member of the department's Senior Leadership Team and will have the opportunity for sport supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Employment duties include, but are not limited to :
- Coordinate the vision and strategic planning for all athletics external initiatives, in partnership with University Marketing and University Advancement
- Oversee staff in communications, creative content, marketing, corporate sponsorships, annual fund, and ticketing
- Lead marketing strategy to increase attendance to home athletics events and grow revenue
- Collaborate with University Advancement staff to promote engagement, philanthropy, stewardship, and gift guidelines while providing day-to-day oversight of annual fund and special events
- Work with University Marketing in an effort to grow community relations, attendance, revenue, and enrollment
- Conceptualize strategies to strengthen and grow Stetson’s brand in the community, region, and nationwide via social media, licensing, and branding
- Manage ticket office operations and strategy, serving as contact for Playfly Aspire
- Assist in growing corporate partnership revenue and managing relationships with key partners
- Work with licensing partner to grow revenue for Stetson brand in region
- Oversee coaches and operations of assigned sports
- Perform other site and position specific functions as assigned
