About the Position
The Masonry General Manager reports to the President, and has responsibility for all masonry projects, scheduling, and directing and coordinating all activities with the crew leaders to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and exceed the customers’ expectations.
Essential Responsibilities
· Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and quality standards
· Recruit and retain qualified laborers and ensure proper training
· Coordinate crews and subcontractors effectively
· Develop strong customer relationships
· Meets with contractors regularly to ensure project is timely and meeting expectations
· Ensure priority on safe work practices; participates as part of safety committee
· Lead employees positively and encourage ideas to become more efficient
· Monitor project cost tracking and make improvements to correct, as needed
What We’re Looking For
· Minimum 5 years experience in construction; masonry experience preferred
· Proven project management experience -- including management of internal and external resources (ie. subcontractors)
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Inquisitive; enjoys thinking of different approaches
