General Summary
This position assists the Designer and Design Director in the day-to day operations of the design department.
Major Responsibilities
Create swatch books for all fabrics, trim, used in design.Maintain an up-to-date picture record of all samples and also an up-to-date file of all names and style numbers.Check in all orders received and handle all shipping.Keep all sample rooms organized.Track all sample orders, and ad samples.Collaborate in sketching and detailing.Assists in trend forecasting.Assisting in CAD color upCollaborate in designing the product line.Create line sheets.Preparation of correspondences, spreadsheets, and formsCommunicate with vendors.Assists in the confirmation process.Assists in brand direction and trend forecasting.Domestic and International travelSpecial projects as needed.Other duties as required.Specific Job Skills
Strong understanding and specialization in Denim and Woven'sExperience in soft woven's including linen, challis, gauze, etc.Expert in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopWork responsibilities occasionally concern confidential and / or sensitive information requiring the use of discretion.Job duties are somewhat varied, occasionally requiring conceptualizing, planning and implementing.Assertive self-starter with strong decision-making ability.Ability to work in a multi-task, high pressure environment.Ability to travel as required.Highly organized, detail-oriented and time management skills essentialStrong follow-up and completion skillsPersonable and excellent customer service skills are essential.Under limited supervision, anticipates and solves problems for self and other lower-level employees.Provides basic work direction and support to small groups of usually skilled and semi-skilled employees.Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and / or Experience :

Salary Range : The pay range of this position is $65k - $70k Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits.
