What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Assistant position at Steve Madden?
General Summary : This position is responsible for the creation of UPC barcode hang tags.
We are looking for a detailed oriented, organized candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our Logistics team.
Major Responsibilities :
- Use UPC barcode software to create hang tags that are applied to Floor ready garments.
- Use 3rd party hang tag supplier websites to place orders for hang tags
- Use Shipping software (Fedex / UPS) to ship orders overseas to factories in China, as well as ship orders domestically to our USA warehouses.
- Track shipments
- Communicate with various depts (Sales, Production, Factories), keeping them informed on the status of orders.
- Stay up to date on customer requirements for Hang tag details and layouts.
- Update sales orders with notes on the status of required hang tags
- Special Projects
- Other duties may be assigned.
Salary Range : The pay range of this position is $24 / hr - $26 / hr. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
