We are seeking a creative and experienced Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of design principles, horticulture, and sustainability, with the ability to take projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with clients and the design team to develop stunning outdoor environments that meet both functional and aesthetic goals.
Summary
As a Landscape Designer at Steve's Landscape and Design, Inc., you will be instrumental in transforming client visions into stunning landscapes. This role is essential to our mission of delivering exceptional design and build services that enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative and functional landscape design concepts for residential, commercial, and public projects.
- Conduct site analysis and assess environmental, architectural, and regulatory factors.
- Create detailed drawings, sketches, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, Pro Landscape, SketchUp, etc.).
- Select appropriate materials, plants, and features based on climate, sustainability, and client preferences.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met.
- Provide project cost estimates and timelines.
- Oversee project installations and ensure designs are executed to the highest standard.
- Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable practices, and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in landscape design or architecture.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Pro Landscape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape construction, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and a problem solver.
- Knowledge of local codes and environmental regulations (a plus).
