KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct Supervisor of a team of Mechanics and Ammonia Operator
- Provides leadership and support to the Plant Maintenance Manager around functions of key utilities within the plant.
- Support breakdown elimination standard work practices and ensure action items are implemented.
- Responsible for creating a schedule to ensure alignment of resources to reduce Meant Time To Repair (MTTR), while managing overtime and vacation coverage for the teams
- Conduct team member performance appraisals
- Responsible for coaching and teaching technicians in maintenance standards, and continuously identify opportunities to improve standards to drive out losses.
- Responsible for maintaining a Safe and secure work environment. Including correcting unsafe acts / conditions
- Ensures all maintenance activities are tracked and documented within the CMMS System
- Monitor work activities to make sure they comply with established Standards, practices, and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining facility contracts and vendor agreements for all utilities supporting the facility.
- Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 industrial Mechanical experience or two-year technical degree preferred.
- Experience working with CMMS
- Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, HVAC and mechanical drawings to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all assigned equipment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair semi complex mechanical machinery to include pumps, fans, HVAC Units, Boilers, Plumbing/Drains, Ammonia Systems, Electrical, and general grounds requirements.
- Experience in Leading and supervision of teams
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills
- Working knowledge of ammonia and freon refrigeration systems
