We are seeking a skilled and versatile Service Technician Automated Machines with experience in both mechanical and electrical disciplines to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing automated machines and systems at customer sites, as well as assisting with machines at SDC. This position will have exposure to device-level programming and setup, such as robots, vision systems, and drives. While expertise in PLC / HMI programming is not required, familiarity with automation hardware configuration and integration is essential.

What You'll Do :
Conduct onsite visits to customer facilities (up to 50% travel) to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated machines and systems.Manage customer interactions and communications during service visits.Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, using schematics and technical documentation to identify and resolve system malfunctions.Configure, troubleshoot, and calibrate robotic systems, vision inspection systems, and motion control components such as drives and actuators.Conduct preventative maintenance audits and service on SDC machines, as needed.Provide timely technical support to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits to address system issues and operational challenges.Guide customers through troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure equipment efficiency.Collaborate with SDC engineering teams to leverage expertise in resolving complex operational issues.Share customer feedback with engineering team to improve designs.Represent SDC professionally and helpfully, promoting the company as a premier solution provider for custom machines, spare parts, future service, etc.Support project management, and other teams to ensure timely, complete, and accurate service deliveries.Document service calls, solutions, and best practices for invoicing and internal reference purposes.Travel for machine installations independently or with team.Assist on-site when not travelling.What We're Looking For :
5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of automated machines or industrial equipment.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues.Experience with robots, vision systems, motion controllers, and other automation hardware.Familiarity with configuring and integrating industrial devices such as servo drives, sensors, and actuators.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and machine manuals.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical instructions to customers.Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customer facilities.Valid driver's license and the ability to meet travel requirements.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Physical capability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.What We Offer :
