What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Picker/Packer position at STEVEN WILLAND INC?
Perform warehouse duties and functions to maintain proper inventory levels while processing orders in a timely manner. Prepare items for shipment; primarily focused on pulling, staging, packing, loading and shipping product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pick/pull inventory to fill an order; convey to packing station.
- Prepares items for shipping, including weighing, labeling, ensuring that credit terms are met; record shipment in computer program.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies.
- Track shipments as needed.
- Assist in parts inventory count.
- Support service department in parts needs for equipment repairs.
- Maintain the automated inventory management system to ensure actual physical inventory matches the database inventory.
- Other duties as assigned, including receiving.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Inventory control and good teamwork
- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- Operate various shipping equipment
- Attention to detail
- Basic math
- Good customer service skills
- Effective computer skills for all software provided
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
