We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join the team. This role is NOT your standard accounting position. You will work on the general ledger, financial reporting, financial analysis, treasury management, and presenting financials. The Accounting Analyst will be at the forefront of growing a business and making an impact to the overall strategy and bottom line of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and accounting support to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports. Your key duties will include:
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide insights on financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, property operating accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Track and allocate expenses across properties, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Support the preparation of property-level and corporate budgets.
- Develop financial models to project cash flows, operating expenses, and investment returns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Work closely with property managers, asset managers, and other stakeholders to gather and validate financial data.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate, property management, or investment firms.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Experience with Workday ERP system preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
